Dear FIMS alumni,

As a proud graduate of one of our respected programs, you're a vital member of our FIMS Western alumni family. Your accomplishments and experiences since graduating continue to inspire current and future generations of students.
The FIMS Western Development Team is dedicated to fostering lifelong connections with our alumni and ensuring the program continues to deliver exceptional education. Use this site to get the latest news, read about other FIMS alumni, find out about upcoming events and submit your own story through our self-submit alumni form (coming soon).
We also invite you to return to this resource regularly to find details about new FIMS initiatives that would benefit from your involvement and new gift announcements. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us as we're always glad to hear from members of our alumni community.

Why give to Western?
Towards the future, together.
When you invest in Western University, your generosity offers our students the chance for a better future, one opportunity at a time.
Perhaps you are passionate about supporting experiential learning or want to give students the financial freedom to complete an internship or engage with research. Whatever it may be, you can champion your values by giving to Western. What matters most to you?
Why give to FIMS?
The Faculty of Information and Media Studies (FIMS) is dedicated to advancing knowledge about media, communications and information technologies. At FIMS, we understand information, media, technology and culture as essential resources in a democratic life guided by principles of access, participation, justice, and possibility. FIMS approaches these ideas through teaching, scholarly research, and community connection, blending an interdisciplinary approach with theory and practice. FIMS provides an academic environment inspired by curiosity, collaboration, creative inquiry, and critical thinking.
FIMS faculty, staff and students understand how information and media shape our everyday world—from how we express ourselves and join in expression with others, to our data doubles, our libraries, our media and economic systems, our governance, our health information, and our cultural inclusion, reconciliation, and accountability.
Media and information shape who we are in the present and future.
Donations to the FIMS fuel progress. They fund significant research, enhance student learning with scholarships and experiences, and break down financial barriers to education. By giving, you invest in the future – a future of innovation, an educated workforce, and a brighter tomorrow for the next generation.
If you'd like to support FIMS with a donation, please visit the FIMS giving page on Western's Giving website. You can specify which initiative you'd like to support. If you don't see the initiative you want to support, please select "My preferred area" and type it into the Other section.
